One Fresh Cup at Damascus Trail Days Merchandising Report 

From May 13 – 16, 2004, 25,000 outdoor enthusiasts and trail supporters gathered in Damascus, VA to camp out in celebration of the outdoors. Attendees included many of the current year’s Appalachian Trail thru-hikers who started in Georgia and are on their way to Maine, outdoor enthusiasts from all over the country, and many local residents. Outdoor manufacturer reps were also in attendance, servicing equipment, gathering valuable first-hand research and displaying new product. Township officials welcomed the hikers and invited the neighbors to share in a parade, three nights of music, food and a week-long festival celebrating trails. One Fresh Cup was among the products on hand at Trail Days, and was met with a tremendous amount of positive feedback from attendees. BACKPACKER served One Fresh Cup at our booth, providing hot water for festival-goers to brew their own cup, and encouraged them to take additional samples with them. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive – and staff heard over and over, "This is the best damn coffee...“ All samples were distributed on site before the end of the festival, and consumers were directed to the One Fresh Cup website for more information. BACKPACKER was pleased to sample One Fresh Cup at Trail Days. Clearly, audiences of outdoor enthusiasts, such as those gathered at Trail Days, provide the perfect audience for One Fresh Cup products.
